Kasangati Orphans Fund Society (KOFS) is a non-government organization working in Uganda. KOFS works to promote the welfare of orphans, vulnerable children and widows. KOFS was started in 1995 by a group of volunteers led by Mr. Sulaiman Kiberu who had love for orphans, vulnerable children and widows.

KOFS has its headquarters at Kawanda 16km from Kampala along Kampala Bombo road. It is 1km from the trading center just near the police post. At Kawanda, KOFS has a National Office, an orphanage home, school, and a poultry project on a four (4) acre piece of land.

KOFS is fully registered in Uganda as a non-government organization and its registration number is S 5914\1909. KOFS is running a primary school, which is also fully registered by the government. The school registration number is PPS\M\96.

KOFS Areas of Operation KOFS provides nationwide services and is very active in the following districts:

  • Wakiso District
  • Kampala District
  • Mpigi District
  • Kayunga District
  • Luwero District

Our Objectives

  • To seek and to look after children, feed, shelter and educate orphans from childhood to maturity regardless of sex, ethnic group, age and religion.
  • To promote nutrition and feeding among low income families especially single parents.
  • To establish a firm creative and suitable foundation for the well being of orphans.
  • To establish a recreation centre for orphans and manage educational institutions in its areas of operation.
  • To promote religious education and training in vocational skills like tailoring, motor vehicle repairs, poultry, carpentry and so many others.
  • To bring up disciplined, God fearing persons and respectful of diverse cultures.
